These Terms of Use set forth the conditions for using the services provided by JourneyMate JAPAN. By applying for or using our services, the User is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
1. Application
These Terms apply to all relationships between the User and JourneyMate JAPAN regarding the use of our services.
2. Definitions
'User' refers to an individual who applies for and uses our services. 'Content' refers to travel plans, itineraries, documents, text, images, and all other information provided through our services.
3. Service Description
We provide custom-made travel planning services and digital Tabi-no-Shiori (travel booklets) for trips to Japan. We are not a travel agency or travel intermediary and do not make, arrange, modify, or cancel reservations for airline tickets, accommodations, transportation, restaurants, or any other travel-related services.
4. Application and Accuracy of Information
The User shall apply for our services after thoroughly confirming their travel dates in advance. The User shall provide accurate and complete information necessary for us to deliver our services.
5. Prohibited Activities
The User shall not engage in the following activities: acts that violate laws or public order and morals; acts that interfere with the operation of our services; unauthorized reproduction, reprinting, or redistribution of Content; and providing false or misleading information.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Copyrights and other intellectual property rights related to Content belong to JourneyMate JAPAN or legitimate rights holders. The User may not reproduce, use, or publish Content beyond the scope of private use.
7. Fees, Payment, and Delivery Timeline
All services provided by JourneyMate JAPAN are paid services. After completing the preliminary questionnaire, the User will receive a confirmation email containing the service details, expected delivery date, and payment form. Delivery timelines vary depending on the service and will be communicated in the confirmation email. Depending on order volume and service content, additional time may be required for delivery. The User shall make payment after confirming and accepting the expected delivery date.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
As our services are custom-made, cancellations and refunds are not accepted after payment completion or after production has begun. The User shall apply after thoroughly confirming their travel dates, and refunds cannot be provided for reasons such as the travel plan not being ready in time for the User's trip.
9. Disclaimer
We provide information based on publicly available information such as Google Maps and official websites, but do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or currency. Budgets and prices are based on information at the time of research, and we are not responsible for price fluctuations at the time of booking. All reservations and management of airline tickets, accommodations, and other services are the sole responsibility of the User, including check-in/check-out times, meal details, and cancellation conditions. Travel plans and Tabi-no-Shiori are intended solely for information provision and travel support; final decisions and actions are the User's own responsibility. We are not liable for damages caused by weather, natural disasters, transportation delays, facility closures, or other force majeure events.
10. Delays Due to User Response
If there are delays in the User's questionnaire responses, submission of additional information, or replies to confirmation emails, the expected delivery date may be changed. Even in such cases, refunds or compensation will not be provided.
11. Revision and Recreation Rules
After the initial draft is sent, revisions are limited to the number specified for the selected plan and must be submitted together within the specified timeframe. Revisions that change the initial draft's assumptions (such as travel dates, number of travelers, destinations, or budget) will be treated as recreations and may incur additional fees. If we do not receive the User's response by the designated deadline, the draft will be finalized and we will proceed to the next step.
12. Subjective Evaluation
Our recommendations are based on general information and experience, and perceptions of atmosphere, crowding, satisfaction, etc. vary among individuals. Subjective dissatisfaction is not grounds for refunds or compensation.
13. Third-Party Services
We do not manage or have involvement with third-party services such as transportation, accommodations, restaurants, booking sites, or Google Maps, and are not liable for damages arising from the use of such services.
14. Service Suspension or Refusal
If the User engages in inappropriate behavior, makes excessive or unreasonable demands, or engages in harassment, we may suspend or refuse service provision without prior notice. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.
15. Changes to Service Content
We may change, suspend, or terminate our service content without prior notice as necessary.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms at any time, and the revised Terms shall take effect upon posting.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising in connection with our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
